"IN MEMORY OF STANLEY BIS"
by John Bis
WHAT DO YOU CALL A MAN?
Who was so humble he'd blush when you'd pay him a compliment
WHAT DO YOU CALL A MAN?
Who was never afraid to be sensitive
WHAT DO YOU CALL A MAN?
Who could make you laugh "sometimes at yourself" and stop you from taking
life too seriously
WHAT DO YOU CALL A MAN?
Who could assure you of the light at the end of the tunnel
when you, yourself could not see it
WHAT DO YOU CALL A MAN?
Who could make an unsettled mind calm down and think straight
WHAT DO YOU CALL A MAN?
Who treated men and women as equals and people as individuals
WHAT DO YOU CALL A MAN?
Who lets you be you with no judgement(no matter what hair style
you choose to express yourself with)
WHAT DO YOU CALL A MAN?
Who knew it didn't matter what color your skin is
WHAT DO YOU CALL A MAN?
That was a friend to all, the kind of friend that only gave without
asking for anything in return
WHAT DO YOU CALL A MAN?
Who loves and respects all children and animals
WHAT DO YOU CALL A MAN?
Who loved Christmas more than one of Santa's Elves
WHAT DO YOU CALL A MAN?
Who was never too old to play with toys
WHAT DO YOU CALL A MAN?
Who won a Purple Heart Medal for serving his country in the Korean War
and never bragged or seemed boastful about his actions
WHAT DO YOU CALL A MAN?
Who could teach the world how to make a perfect marriage
by example alone
WHAT DO YOU CALL A MAN?
Who dreamed your dreams as if they were his own
WHAT DO YOU CALL A MAN?
Who not so much as by words but by his deeds never let his wife and kids
forget that they were his dream come true
WHAT DO YOU CALL A MAN?
Who wanted to and did give his children a better life
than he had
WHAT DO YOU CALL A MAN?
Who hid his aches and pains so not to upset others
WHAT DO YOU CALL SUCH A MAN?
I have been very blessed to call him my Father
I love you and miss you Dad
