As I Die

I just stood there, and I cried

As I watched me quietly die

I needed no one, I needed all

Cold wet tears from my eyes fall

Standing still, being strong

Where I’m certain I don’t belong

Desperately seeking peace of some kind

let me go, free my soul and my mind
