KT learns to share her home, toys and mom with her step dad and his two children. Positive and negative aspects of blended families are explored with suggestions for reducing tension and establishing harmony. Although children cannot choose their blended families, they can choose how they think and feel about them. The story line and graphics communicate the range of emotions a child in a blended family may have, and the reader is encouraged to acknowledge his or her feelings through the discussion questions provided.
