This book is about David Sheff’s son, Nic, who has been floundering in the world of substance abuse since he was in his teens. He tells about how it affected his family, the struggle to try and help his son, and his final release of Nic to whatever fate was to be his. It is very well-written and brutally honest. David Sheff is a journalist who lives in Inverness, California. I would highly recommend this book to parents or others who have a loved one that is caught in the world of substance abuse. He has captured the feelings and emotions of almost all of us.
