The title is taken from Isaiah 40:31, 'They shall mount up with wings like eagles', and Joel's love of nature, particularly the majestic birds. Until my son's death by suicide, I was part of a large farm family and lived a typical Midwestern childhood; married a serviceman and lived various places around the world. Life changed forever when I lost my son to suicide on March 2, 1992. A mother never forgets or completely loses a child."
