A hands-on guide for psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and substance abuse counselors. The community reinforcement approach acknowledges the powerful role of environmental contingencies in encouraging or discouraging drinking, and attempts to rearrange those contingencies so a non-drinking lifestyle is more rewarding than a drinking one.
