Vanessa tells how her parents' alcohol/drug abuse affects her. Some of the issues she deals with include feeling as if her parents don't love her anymore, dad's job loss, money problems, thinking about trying the drugs herself, feeling guilty, taking care of herself, and coping with the situation since she can't change it. Children are encouraged to acknowledge their feelings and communicate them to a trusted adult.
