These things could be triggers for some survivors of abuse and neglect. If you can handle this material, or if you are willing to accept the risk of a trigger response, click OK to proceed. If this is your first visit to the site we recommend you view it in a safe environment or with a friend."

National Sexual Assault Hotline
1.800.656.HOPE(4673) is free, confidential and 24/7.

When a caller dials 1.800.656.HOPE, a computer notes the area code and first three digits of the caller's phone number. The call is then instantaneously connected to the nearest RAINN member center. If all counselors at that center are busy, the call is sent to the next closest center. The caller's phone number is not retained, so the call is anonymous and confidential unless the caller chooses to share personally-identifying information.
The Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN)
The nation's largest anti-sexual assault organization. RAINN operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline and carries out programs to prevent sexual assault, help victims and ensure that rapists are brought to justice. They also offer an online hotline (technology similar to instant messaging) from 6 pm to 8 pm EST, Monday through Friday.
Voices in Action - Adult and Adolescent Survivors of Sexual Assault
An international organization providing assistance to adult and adolescent victims of child sexual abuse and sexual trauma. Their mission is to help victims become survivors and create accurate public awareness of the prevalence of child sexual abuse, its impact, and ways in which it can be prevented or stopped through educational programs.
